Returning materials
Rodgers Memorial Library is a fine-free library as of June 1, 2025.
NOTE: Return items to the library or to the Book Return Drop. The library is not responsible for any lost or stolen items if these are left outside the building outside current operating hours.
All items can be returned in the Book Return Drop in front of the library

The following types of items can be returned in the Book Drop in front of HUDSON LUMBER. Items returned in this Book Drop will take longer to show as "returned" on your account.

Please note: ALL Library of Things items must be returned to library staff at the public desk in Rodgers Memorial Library, during open hours. These items cannot be dropped off in the book drop.
Item renewals
New books have a loan period of 14 days with 1 auto-renewal if there are “holds” on the item. Lucky Day Collection books are loaned for 14 days with no renewals. All other books have a loan period of 21 days and 1 auto-renewal if there are no "holds" on the item.
Billing
Rodgers Memorial Library is a fine-free library, there are no late fees. Charges will still apply to lost or damaged items.
After any applicable renewals, two (2) overdue notification emails, a week apart, are generated if the item(s) are not returned on the due date. If the item(s) are not returned within four weeks after the second overdue notice, the item(s) are marked as lost, and the borrower will receive a bill for the market cost of the item(s) plus the processing fee.
Non-Resident Library Card Fees
- Non-residents may purchase an immediate family membership for an annual fee set by the Board of Trustees. Picture identification is required. (A library card will be issued to each immediate family member.)
- Non-residents must renew their library cards annually and pay a “non-resident fee” set by the Board of Trustees, currently set at $50.*
