Placing Holds

You can place holds on items online by logging in with your username or library card barcode, or you can call the library at 603-866-6030 to have staff place a hold for you.
 

Picking Up Holds

When your hold is ready, you will receive a notification and library staff will check it out to your account with an extended due date. Holds are securely packaged and labeled with patron’s last name and first initial, then placed alphabetically on the Holds Shelf, located directly across from the Circulation Desk. Simply walk in and pick up your hold from the shelf. Your due date will be on a slip inside the item or in your emails or texts, depending on your account preference.

Items are held for 6 days. Call the library at 603-866-6030 if you need more time to pick up. Otherwise, items not picked up after 6 days will be checked in and returned to circulation.

Item Renewals

Beginning on March 1, 2026, Rodgers Memorial Library updated most of our items to have the same 21-day checkout with 1 automatic renewal to create a consistent experience across GMILCS libraries, with the exception of our New Books, Video Games, Magazines, Inter-Library Loan, Library of Things, and Lucky Day items. Renewals on Inter-Library Loan items may be requested by calling the library at (603) 886-6030, or by emailing the library at AskUs@rodgerslibrary.org.
