Children's Books Donation Event
The Friends of the Library will hold a children's books donation event on May 14 and 15, 2026, which is listed in our events calendar here. Donated children's books will be used as giveaways during this year's Summer Reading Program Kick-Off Party on Saturday, June 13!
Children's books that are gently used and in good to excellent condition may be dropped off at Rodgers Memorial Library in Study Room 1, all day on Thursday, May 14, and from 9am to 12pm on Friday, May 15.
Regular book donation days for 2026 are TBD.

Conditions and exceptions apply, see below. Please do not attend if you have been sick or have been in contact with a sick person.
We will accept:
- Current fiction, non-fiction and children's books in good to excellent condition
- Limit of 2 bags/boxes per car.
- Donor must remove boxes from their car and deposit in designated areas.
- If space allows, donors may pull up parallel to the library entrance sidewalk to unload boxes.
- There will be some book carts available for transport.
We will not accept:
- Textbooks
- Encyclopedia sets of ANY kind
- Magazines
- Books in poor condition (stained, mildewed, torn or ripped)
- VHS tapes
- CDs
- DVDs
