If you live, attend school or are employed in the town of Hudson, you are eligible for a library card at no charge to you. Children may get their own cards when they turn five. A parent or legal guardian must be present to sign when a minor signs up for a card.
If you do not fit into any of the categories above, you may purchase a non-resident card for $50/year.
Acquiring a card
Cards may be acquired at the Rodgers Memorial Library, in person. Photo ID and/or proof of residency is required: a valid drivers’ license with a Hudson address will serve for both. If the address on the license is not correct, please also bring a piece of mail or other official document with your Hudson address. A parent’s ID will also serve as proof of residency for a minor child. If you have none of these, come to the library and we’ll send something to you at your Hudson address. Once that arrives, bring it back to the library as proof of your residency.
Cards are required to borrow materials from the library and must be presented at the time of checkout. Lost cards can be replaced for a $3 fee.
To keep our records up to date, every two years (or one year, for non-residents) we require that patrons check in with us and confirm that we still have the correct contact information.
